Government Industrial Training Institute Tapan is an NCVT-affiliated ITI offering comprehensive industrial training in various trades to empower the youth of our nation. Established in the year 2016, our institute is dedicated to providing technical education, particularly to unemployed youth, fostering skill development and enhancing employability.

Located on Tapan, West Bengal, our institute spans across 3.11 acres, offering a serene and pollution-free environment conducive to learning. Our campus is well-equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities, creating an ideal setting for academic pursuits. Surrounded by lush greenery, our institute is committed to providing a holistic educational experience.

As part of the Government of West Bengal initiatives, our institute aligns with the vision of large-scale skill development for the youth, creating avenues for gainful employment and entrepreneurial opportunities. We actively participate in the West Bengal Skill Development Mission, supported by the Department of Technical Education, Training & Skill Development; Government of West Bengal.

In line with our commitment to skill development, our institute is an active participant in the flagship scheme “Utkarsh Bangla” launched on 16th February, 2016 under the patronage of Department of Technical Education, Training & Skill Development; Government of West Bengal. This scheme, facilitated by PBSSD (Paschim Banga Society for Skill Development), focuses on placement-linked short-term skill training programs across West Bengal, ensuring that our students are well-prepared for the demands of the industry.

Our institute follows the standards set by the Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGET), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Union Government. We provide training in a diverse range of trades, including: Dress Making, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Surveyor, Wireman, Welder, Mechanic Diesel Engine, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician.
